Financial assistance is provided thanks to the donations of Girl Scouts, Troops, and Service Units in our area. Many thanks to these generous Girl Scouts!

Buzz Bucks (formerly known as Cookie Dough or Nut Bucks) are earned by many Girl Scouts through the Treats & Reads or Cookie Sale programs. If your Girl Scout has Buzz Bucks, they can be used for membership, in the Council store for uniform components, badges, and books, and on any program offered by Girl Scouts, Hornets' Nest Council (on our calendar at

All information contained in the following application will be kept confidential by the Financial Assistance Committee, UNLESS
your Financial Aid voucher or coupon goes unused, and you do not respond to our requests to contact us. In order to make sure that all of our girls are receiving the Financial Aid they need, we will copy Troop Leaders on final reminder emails prior to a voucher or coupon expiring. Please pay attention to the inbox of the email address you provide in this application for communication from us about your Financial Aid.
Instructions and Information
*ALL APPLICANTS FOR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE MUST BE REGISTERED GIRL SCOUTS FOR THE CURRENT YEAR. If they joined their Troop in time for the previous or current year's Cookie or Fall Treats & Reads sale, they must have participated in one of those sales.

*Only one applicant per form - if you have another Girl Scout in your household who needs to apply for Financial Aid, please fill out this form once per girl.

*Forms MUST be completed by the parent or guardian of the Girl Scout in question. Troop Leaders CANNOT fill out Financial Aid forms for Girl Scouts who are not in their household.

*Please allow up to 30 days for processing - this means your form should be turned in AT LEAST one month before the date of the event or program you are applying for assistance for.

*IF YOU ARE APPLYING FOR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FOR AN EVENT, the event must be offered by Girl Scouts, Hornets' Nest Council (on our calendar at ). Events not offered by the Council are not eligible for Council Financial Aid.

*Each Girl Scout may apply for Event Assistance one time per Girl Scout year (October-September).

*Each Girl Scout may apply for a Uniform/Book voucher once every time they move to a new Program Grade Level
(Daisy->Brownie, Brownie->Junior, etc.)

*In each application, Girl Scouts may apply for assistance with an Event fee OR for assistance with uniform components and books.

*This form cannot be used to acquire refunds for previously-purchased items and/or registration costs for event(s).
