AdoptionLand.org Interview Form
How I Survived Adoption.
Email *
AdoptionLand.org offers global adoption news based on the stories of families separated by adoption.
The website was initiated in 2014 in conjunction with the anthology, Adoptionland: From Orphans to Activists, the first book to address issues that adoption agencies were too afraid to face or trying to hide--the families left behind and individuals adopted. Who are we? We are people adopted. We are elders, Baby Boomers, Gen-Xrs, Millennials, Gen-Yrs. That's what makes us remarkable. We know that all of us have a story to share. If you feel compelled to share your story, please feel free to fill out this interview form. If you'd like to interview the cofounders of Adoption Truth & Transparency Worldwide Network, please send your questions to admin@adoptiontruth.org, an affiliate site. Adoption Truth and Transparency Worldwide Network globally connects inter-country and domestic adoptees with long lost families while expanding the view of adoption. This international group is one of the largest adoptee-led groups available on FB. Here you will find a birds-eye perspective of adoption from a diverse group of people where, if you are adopted or separated because of adoption, you will gain insight into the latest news articles and postings from fellow members.
Name *
First and/or last name. You can also use a pseudonym.
Tell us a little about yourself. When were you adopted? Where were you raised?
What country were you adopted from? Do you have any documents of your circumstances surrounding your adoption? Does it match to what you were told when you were growing up? *
How was your upbringing? Tell us about your adoptive family. What challenges did you have to overcome that your adoptive family did not have to overcome?
Let us get to know something unique about your situation. How are you different than most everyone else? How might you be different compared to other people's preconceived notions about you?
What was a significant situation regarding your adoption that you had to survive from that non-adopted people never have to be concerned about?
Are you involved in the adoptee community? If yes, when did you first become aware of it and what are you doing within it today?
Tell us about your latest activities (work, family, or hobby) and what inspired you to get started on this?
If you didn't have to worry about financial stability, what would you be doing today?
Please share anything else about you that you feel is important. OR Do you have any advice for young adoptees?
What's next for you as an active participant within the adoptee community? Any wishes?
To complete the interview, you can add whatever you feel compelled to share. You can also send a .jpg or .png image that represents you, or a photo, or a piece of art to info@adoptiontruth.org. *Note: At this time AdoptionLand.org does not accept inquiries or payment for adoptable children from religious or social facilitators. We also refuse to endorse any and all agencies, entities, or individuals even if they offer gifts or donations. We cannot in good conscience endorse any accredited OR non-accredited facilitator whose mission is to permanently separate children from their siblings and all blood-relatives OR advertise children falsely as "orphans" or "needy," OR alter their true identity, which prevents children from future contact with all members of their biological families. Due to centuries of past imperialistic proselytizing AND religious endorsements promoting evangelical messages that advocate for "the benefits of white saviorhood," all submissions intending to preach fundamentalist belief-systems that have disrespected and ignored indigenous cultures will not be posted. *We reserve the right not to publish interviews at our discretion.
