What students promise:
Attendance is the highest priority for mentees as most of the beneficial information is presented in biweekly meetings. We ask that mentee applicants consider their outside obligations (such as sports, clubs, etc.) and if they will restrict the amount of meetings that will be attended. HOT receives many applicants and we aim to create an informative program for those who can attend the meetings continuously throughout the year.
HOT mentees are expected to:- To attend the biweekly meetings that will be held the 2nd and 4th Saturday's of every month, from 10am till 1pm- To be responsible, on-time, and to attend 75% of all monthly meetings that HOT helps set up for you. Students over an hour outside of Albuquerque are required to attend 50% of all monthly meetings.- Good communication with mentor throughout the program, which includes two conversations outside of the biweekly meetings that will be logged on Google Sheets (phone or internet are options)- To develop and complete a health project that is in an area of interest to them, and which will improve their community- To present your work at a HOT Meetings, and possibly at a conference
