Disaster Response | Large Animal Volunteers
The NCAEP Emergency Response Team is a volunteer group of equine veterinary professionals joining together to assist in providing veterinary care for sheltered equids. If you are a veterinarian, technician, assistant, or experienced horse handler and are interested in being contacted to help during a disaster response, please fill out our volunteer application below.

Northeastern: Siskiyou, Modoc, Trinity, Shasta, Lassen, Tehama, Plumas, Butte and Glenn counties
Greater Sacramento Area: Alpine, Colusa, El Dorado, Nevada, Placer, Sacramento, Sierra, Sutter, Yolo, and Yuba counties
Bay Area: Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Napa, San Francisco, San Mateo, and Solano counties
South Bay: Monterey, San Benito, Santa Clara, and Santa Cruz counties
Sierra Nevada: Amador, Calaveras, San Joaquin, Stanislaus, and Tuolumne counties
Central Valley: Fresno, Kings, Madera, Mariposa, Merced, and Tulare counties
Eastern Sierra: Inyo and Mono counties
Which shift(s) would you be able to donate your time for?
DISCLAIMER: During a disaster the California OES is often overwhelmed, and we do not always know when they will be able to spare a representative to swear in volunteers as official Disaster Workers. This means that at times we may be unable to offer insurance coverage.
