Entrance: Enter through the southernmost gate on Applewhite and follow signs to the Visitor Center.
Check-in: Toyota Visitor Center/Demo Garden.
Date & Time: Friday, October 11, 2024, from 8:00 am to 12-noon.
Feel free to arrive and leave at your convenience.

Join us for the Texas Pollinator-2024 SA kickoff at Toyota!
This event welcomes Toyota Employees, University Faculty and Students, Audubon
& Native Plant Society members, SARA River Warriors, and Texas Master
Naturalists.
Activity:
Kick off the TPWD’s TX Pollinator Bioblitz (October 11-27, 2024) with us! We'll be using the
iNaturalist app to conduct an engaging bioblitz at Toyota’s natural spaces.
- Survey Location #1: OPEN TO PUBLIC ONLY: Pollinator-Wildlife Demonstration Garden next to the Experience Visitor Center.
- Survey Location #2: VIP: Westfield Grassland Habitat—future home of the Texas Horned Lizard project.
VIP - Members of Texas Master Naturalist and other iNaturalist partners.
Additional Details:
- Set up your iNaturalist account in advance at iNaturalist.org and download the app on your smart device.
- Wear closed-toe shoes and dress appropriately for the weather.
- Bring water in a reusable container.
- Pets are not allowed.
- If the event is canceled due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances, you will be notified via email no later than 6:00 am on the event day
- (Optional) Join the Texas Pollinator Bioblitz 2024 Project on iNaturalist, click [here], then click "Join."
Once you join, your qualifying observations will be automatically linked to the Bioblitz collection project. Any verifiable observations that meet the requirements will be reflected in both your observation details. All observations that meet requirements are automatically included in the TPWD's Bioblitz project summaries.
