CalCap 2021 Application

Please review this information carefully, as CalCap 2021 is very different from previous workshops.
If possible, we will all rehearse on-site at our primary venue. If needed we may have some groups formed of local players rehearse in homes or alternate venues in the area, and then join us at the retreat center for dinner and the concert. Before you are scheduled to rehearse at an alternate venue, you will be contacted to confirm your ability to do so.
Enrollment is limited.
We will require proof of Covid vaccination in order to participate.
Pre-formed groups are welcome. Each member needs to apply separately indicating the pre-formed option.
Primary Venue: Christ the King Retreat Center, 6520 Van Maren Ln, Citrus Heights, CA
All facilities air conditioned. Single or double rooms available with private bath. We are told by reliable sources that they serve "excellent food.." We will be the only group there at this time and they are welcoming to "fun-loving" groups such as ourselves. Alcohol is ok.
Single room: $130 for two nights; Double room $100 per person for two nights.
Tuition: $330 (includes facility fees, coaching, light snack and beverage, and overhead)
Meal fees: Vary by workshop status (resident or commuter) and rehearsal location:
Retreat Center Resident - includes 2 continental breakfasts (Th/Fr), 3 lunches (W/Th/Fr), 2 dinners (W/Th): $115
Local commuter rehearsing at the retreat center - all the above except breakfast: $90
Local commuter rehearsing off site - 2 dinners and Friday lunch only: $61
They accommodate all the main dietary needs - vegetarian, gluten, allergies, etc. If you have an extreme dietary limitation, refrigerators are available for you to bring your own food.
We cannot offer individual meals but FYI our per meal costs are:
continental breakfast: $10; lunch: $17; Dinner: $22

10:00 registration (zoom for remote) and short orientation

We will all spend the day together at the retreat center in assigned group reading sessions. Each participant enjoying reading with two groups - one in the morning and one in the afternoon.

12-1:30 lunch, photo and hang out
1:30-3:00 reading group 2
3:00 farewells until next year
Our priority application period will end July 23.

If you are a local player and could potentially host rehearsal in your fully vaccinated home or other venue, please give information including geographic vicinity, parking info, how many players could be accommodated, whether there is a high quality piano, whether you have pets, whether the venue is accessible, etc.
I certify that I am fully vaccinated and understand that I will need to verify this by uploading proof of vaccination if accepted.
