2024 NC 4-H Volunteer Leaders’ Conference: 4-H Volunteer Lighting Our Flame From Mountains to Sea
Workshop Proposal Form
Thank you for your interest in presenting a workshop at the 2023 North Carolina 4-H Volunteer Leaders’ Conference, February 2-4, 2024. Conference Workshops will be presented throughout the day on Saturday, February 3 and Sunday Feb. 4th. Feel free to submit multiple sessions for evaluation and consideration by the program committee. The program committee is specifically looking for workshops that connect back to 4-H curriculum.
You may propose sessions that will require attendance at multiple “parts” for attendees to receive more in depth instruction. Workshops at this conference are most successful when they engage the learners in interactive, participatory learning activities. Handouts for workshops are encouraged!
Please choose from one of the following for this submission. If you wish to submit more than one, please enter a different submission for each session you wish to teach.
Pre-Recorded Sessions - These 20-30 minutes, prerecorded, and housed in a virtual space. Prerecorded sessions allow attendees to view information over a period of time and learn information in a quick and easy to view format. Prerecorded sessions will be offered to virtual attendees as well as face to face conference attendees for a limited time period. Recording due January 12th, 2024. If you wish to do a pre-recorded session, let us know your intentions and we will be in touch afterwards with more details on where to upload the pre-recorded ones.
60 - 75 minute face to face workshops - Rooms will be set up either in rounds or classroom (at the discretion of conference planners) and will be equipped with an LCD projector and internet access. Presenters will need to provide their own computer (if needed) and any computer connections or other supplies.
Lightning Session - These are 15 minutes mini workshops that can be presented on a variety of topics and will be repeated 4 times. Share something you are working on, something you’ve done, or something you’ve learned that might be of interest to others. Share tips or best practices that you’ve found useful. Attendees will have the opportunity to rotate through several stations where you can ask questions and or learn more about the topics of their choosing.
The deadline to submit a proposal is November 15, 2023. Proposals will be reviewed in the order they are submitted and those proposals which are submitted earliest will be reviewed first.
