* We do not recommend or endorse any type of treatment, education institution or professional education background. The referrals will include the practitioners’ contact information and, if provided to us, their website and professional background description. We encourage frontline workers to learn more about their practitioners and their professional background by checking their website and/or speaking to them directly. We do not monitor their conduct of the volunteering practitioners. In the event of any issues or complaints about the practitioners and their support they provide, frontline worker should contact the regulated body, College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of Ontario (CTCMPAO).
* Upon signing up, a licensed practitioner asked to provide their registration number and class of registration issued by the regulated body, College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of Ontario (CTCMPAO). While a reasonable attempt is made to verify this number prior to adding the practitioner to the database, we do not monitor the practitioner professional status and therefore cannot and do not assume responsibility for, or guarantee, that any of the representations made by the practitioners about their professional credentials or background are accurate or true.
* Participating practitioners are reminded that their work with frontline workers will be subject to, and must be complied with, all applicable laws, regulations and standard applicable to the practice of traditional Chinese medicine and acupuncture services in Ontario. Participating practitioners do not and should not provide any form of assessment, treatment plan, and/or treatment. Regardless of the format of the sessions (e.g. phone, video conference) in which a practitioner practices, the applicable professional Regulations, Codes of Ethics and Professional Practice Standards will apply.
* It is up to each frontline worker and their chosen practitioner to agree on the details of their 3 free sessions and, if there is mutual agreement to continue the sessions, thereafter.
* We reserve the right to reject the registration of a person who does not qualify as a frontline worker. Our practitioners will have the right to refuse to provide their free service to such a person at any time.
