Hello! Shalom! Привіт! Aloha! Hola! Привет! Sawatdi! Annyoung hasimnikka! Bonjour! Selamat!

Ta-Daaam! Here’s the second edition of our “wall newspaper” called Lightning!!! As you already know its aim is to help everyone to be at the same page with the rules. As lightning is the flashing of light produced by a discharge of atmospheric electricity accumulated in the air so the content of this issue is a quick reminder of certain rules’ things that accumulated during some period of time. Hope it will help to refresh the knowledge (image) and prevent from doing mistakes while working with menus.

    1. Vegetarian, Vegan, Gluten Free

If it is indicated in the menu (whether with words or with a certain mark) that the item is vegan or gluten free, then we add (Vegan), (Gluten Free), or (Vegan, Gluten Free) to items’ names. If all entire menu is vegan (vegetarian, gluten free) we should we put (Vegan) in each item name (veggie icons in each item name, or (Gluten Free) in each item name). If in regular menus item description is quite long, we can shorten adding (V), (GF) to item names and then add to section description that eg (V) means vegan..

    6. When “Make it With” is NOT Needed

Please make sure to apply Make it With option only where it is needed! – what meant is sometimes protein/vegetables/tofu choice for items is given in section description (it is met in Thai menus quite often) and items below the section’s description come without any protein/vegetables/tofu choice as it already in section description. BUT there can be some items in such sections that already go with their own protein and these items DO NOT need Make it With option, for example:

    7. Split Flavor option in Wings

If in Wings section we have a Split Flavor option (eg SPLIT FLAVOR $1.) we don't ignore it but do it. Split flavor is like mix and match. Application for this option is: 1. Wing Flavor - select 2. Add 2nd Wing Flavor - select Plain||default No Thanks||default Mild Mild|1.00 Medium Medium|1.00 Hot Hot|1.00 Cajun Cajun|1.00

    9. How Spicy in the Same Items on Different Tabs (Chinese Menus)

If in Full Menu some items are spicy (marked with chili icons and have a How Spicy? option) and the same items in Lunch Menu go without chili icons/How Spicy? option, then we apply chili icons/How Spicy? option to such Lunch Menu items as well. For example we have a Chinese Menu and the first item of Lunch Menu is Garlic Chicken. Garlic Chicken in Full Menu is marked with chili icon and has a How Spicy? option and Lunch Menu items have no chili icons at all. So we put chili icon and How Spicy? option to Garlic Chicken item of Lunch Menu.

    10. Choice of Dressing option in Catering (Party) Menu

If there is a Choice of Dressing option in Salads' section of Full Menu of DS or regular menu and there is a Catering (or Party) Menu with salads that don't have Choice of Dressing option in original menu, then we ourselves add Choice of Dressing option to Catering (Party) Menu salads.
