Tennis Wales will once again be offering local authority school based tennis competitions for 2019 working in partnership with local sport development teams and clubs.

For 2019 we have simplified the booking process by providing an online entry form below.

Please complete the form listing the number of teams you would like to enter in each category and year group.

Mini Red: School Years 3&4
Mini Orange: School Year 5
Mini Green: School Year 6

South & West Wales Events will run a Boys, Girls and Mixed categories
North Wales & North Powys will run Boys and Girls categories

Teams must consist of 4 players in each category.

Schools can enter a maximum of 2 teams per category and the mixed category must contain 2 boys and 2 girls. For example, a school could potentially bring 24 players (2x boys teams, 2x girls teams and 2x mixed teams.)

Each child can only represent their school in one team (boys, girls or mixed) and can only play in one age group (Yr 3 & below, Yr 5 & below or Yr 6 & below).

Matches - Tennis Wales will provide the scoring format for your local event that suits the competition based on number of entries, court availability etc. Possible formats include timed matches, first to 7 or 10 points etc. All 4 singles and 2 doubles rubbers are to be completed where possible.

Every team must be accompanied by someone who is willing to help with scoring some matches, this can be a teacher or parent.

No experience necessary! - Your team will benefit from any practice sessions you might be able to give them. However, many of the children who will be taking part in the competitions will be playing in their first ever tennis competition.
