Crowd Research: UIST contribution rating
*You must fill out this form before the deadline in order to be an author!*

As we're racing towards UIST deadline, we’re going to do a first version of our PageRank contribution rating. We’ll eventually be using this to determine author order for the paper, but for now it will be to demonstrate where we are at.

Here is how it works: you have 100 points of credit to assign to other members of this project - maximum of 15 to one. Think of this as assigning the percentage of our group’s success that is attributable to each person. For example, if there were 10 other crowd researchers in our project and you felt that four of them made very critical contributions, three made valuable contributions, and three contributed a little bit, you might spread out the points as 15-15-14-14-12-11-9-4-3-3.

Once we have everyone’s credit points, we will be running the PageRank algorithm on top of the credit network to determine a credit ranking which we can use for authorship. PageRank works by finding individuals who everyone gives high credit to, then gives them more weight in the final credit assignment. So, even if small groups of people are all voting for each other to try and increase their credit (which we don’t expect will happen!), PageRank will realize that nobody else is giving them credit, so the aggregate impact of their credit assignment will be minor. Conversely, if a contributor from the spring is recognized by a top contributor, they will receive a fair amount of credit.

Assign your 100 credit points to contributors below. You are free to give contributors no points if you do not recognize them or do not know of their contributions. Do not give yourself any points, they will be ignored — your own credit is determined by others in the project.

Self-nominated Slack usernames are listed below alphabetically. If you would like to give credit to people who are no longer active, or if a name is missing, please DM @rajanvaish and it'll be added.

You are welcome to revise your credit list as many times as you would like between now and UIST.
