Volunteer Inquiry
We Are Always in Need of Volunteers - Thank you for your interest!

TH volunteers are one of the most critical elements in our service delivery. Volunteers are the direct link between the therapist/instructor's guidance to the client and the achievement of personal therapy goals with the aid of the horse.  For one client we serve, we often require 3-4 volunteers as a direct part of the treatment team.  Volunteers must be at least 14 years of age, and no prior horse experience is necessary.  We will train you from the ground up.

We require a minimum of a 2-3 hour time commitment on the same day each week. This is very different from most volunteer programs, where the volunteer is not necessarily tied down to a specific day and time. Here, if a volunteer does not show up...the client does not receive services.  For those of you who cannot commit to regular commitment of this length, but who can commit to being available to fill in, we also do have a floater program.

In addition to direct service delivery volunteer team (sidewalker, leader, horse handler), we are currently recruiting for the following vital volunteer teams:

- Facility and Grounds
- Equine Support and Barn Maintenance
- Administration/Office (Finance, Service Delivery, Development)
- Community Outreach

Your time and talent, no matter the team, make a profound difference in the lives of the individuals and families we — together — serve.
