Join us for a volunteer day as we work on clearing and expanding an existing firebreak alongside Pu'uanahulu bluff.

The day will begin at 8:00 a.m. at the hikers station, left-hand side parking area just inside the Pu'uwa'awa'a State Forest Reserve gate and end by 12:00 p.m.
8:00 Meet at our Hiker Check-in Station to sign waivers and timesheets.
8:15 Drive to project area together
8:30 Introduction to Place and instructions
9:00 Get Started!
11:30 Pau Hana/Lunch
12:00 Drive back to hikers check-in. A hui hou kākou!
WHAT
We will be working to widen an existing firebreak along the makai side of the Pu'uanahulu bluff. Gloves and tools will be provided.
**Terrain is uneven and rocky. Weather can be hot and sunny or cold and rainy.**
Work is rewarding!!!

Plenty of water: a water cooler will be available for refills.
Sun protection: Sunscreen, hat, sunglasses
Rain gear
Sturdy hiking boots/shoes (closed-toe) are REQUIRED
Long-sleeved shirts and pants are recommended.
