Palenque LSNA is a community-based organization building power for education, immigration, and housing equity in Avondale, Hermosa and Logan Square. Palenques were spaces created by escaped Africans to reclaim, remember, strategize for freedom and liberation. We ground ourselves in the history of palenques to create and build towards a community.
