FORCE2018 will be held October 11-12, 2018 in Montreal: https://www.force11.org/meetings/force2018

What is the format for talks?
There will be presentations running in multiple tracks over the two days. Each presentation will be scheduled for 25 minutes. Our general recommendation is to prepare for 15-20 minutes of speaking time and 5-10 minutes of Q&A (that breakdown is just an idea...you will get 25 min and can use your 25 minutes however you like).

What is the theme of FORCE2018?
The theme of FORCE2018 is engagement. We want each talk to engage the community. This will mean different things for each speaker. It may mean crafting an interactive presentation. Or it could mean showcasing true/tangible impact your work has made. Or maybe it's making your talk fun and offering clear ways for the community to join your efforts, etc. Regardless of how you accomplish this, let's skip the boring stuff and make sure all talks are engaging!

What to expect?
Things will move quickly and talks should be engaging. While project updates and working groups discussions are okay, we want to make sure all sessions bypass what attendees can read online. All presenters should strive to go straight to the aspects of their work that are thought-provoking and engaging. Also, we will have several keynote/plenaries to break things up and tons of free time throughout the two days to follow up with attendees and network.
