Award: Emerging Dietetic Leader
We aim to recognize dietitians who make distinctive contributions early in their careers who promote the optimal health and nutrition of Rhode Islanders. The nominee should demonstrate leadership in their profession and should have 5-10 years of professional practice experience.

We aim to recognize individuals who demonstrate outstanding leadership and service. The Outstanding Dietitian of the Year serves as a positive role model and innovator while increasing awareness and is a positive voice for the profession.

We aim to recognize outstanding younger dietitians (35 years or younger) who promote the optimal health and nutrition of Rhode Islanders. The nominee should demonstrate leadership and show promise for continued growth in their profession.

Award: Retired Dietitian of the Year
This award is to recognize a retired Dietitian that continues to contribute to the field of nutrition and dietetics in a positive way. This award highlights commitment to the field, both during and after retirement. The Retired Dietitian of the Year award is presented to an ongoing role model and trusted source of nutrition expertise.

Award: 24 Carrot Award
The 24 Carrot Award was established by RIAND in 1997 to recognize individuals or organizations for their distinctive contributions to the fields of dietetics, public health, or health promotion. Past recipients of the 24 Carrot Award have been Barbara Morse (2002), Alan Shawn Feinstein (2003), New England Dairy and Food Council (2005), Shape up RI (2008), Jack Reed (2012), Dr. Alison Tovar (2018).
