Compass Winter Dance 2019
Compass students and their friends in grades 7-12 are invited to the annual Winter Semi-Formal Dance on November 16th from 6:00 - 10:30PM at the Oconee Heights Baptist Church Fellowship Hall (4180 Jefferson Rd. Athens).
From 6:00-6:30 join us for a reception with light refreshments. Parents and students are welcome to mingle and take pictures. At 6:30, we will get a group picture and then let the dancing begin!
The DJ will play clean, secular music, and students can suggest songs in advance that they want considered for the playlist. Once the dance begins, students will be required to stay in doors until they are leaving for the night. No reentry will be permitted. We have chaperones and volunteers, so your teens will be in good hands. Parents, you are welcome to come in from 6:00-6:30 to get photos of your teen with friends and mingle with other parents and students. At 6:30, we will take a group photo before the DJ kicks off the dance music, at which time parents will need to leave so the teens can enjoy their dance. We will have photographers around to capture snapshots of the night.
This is a semi-formal dance similar in style to a school's homecoming dance.
Tickets are $10/person in advance or $15 at the door. Tickets can be purchased at Compass at the front desk or by sending the ticket money via PayPal to firstname.lastname@example.org.Compass students in 7th-12th grade are invited to the Annual Winter Dance.
