Batterystaple @ PAXE 2023 Volunteer App
Hi there! Batterystaple (creators of 20XX and 30XX) is looking for a little extra help at PAX East 2023 in Boston to make sure the show's as great as it can be.

PAX East 2023 is from March 23 to March 26 (Thurs-Sun) - we'll also be setting up our booth on Wednesday, March 22. Volunteer help is welcomed for any or all of those days - Setup and Strike (teardown) are their own shifts, and each day at the booth is broken down into two shifts (morning & afternoon). Most shifts are four hours long - Thursday morning's a little longer, since the show opens early.

We'd love to have you on board to help us put on a great show! Booth volunteers are expected to interact with PAX attendees, pitching and explaining 30XX to showgoers. Volunteers are expected to be present for the entirety of a given shift (with breaks for bathrooms/water/etc as needed).

We're happy to provide badges to those who need them. Volunteers working at least four shifts will get their own to keep for the show - those working fewer than four shifts will receive loaner badges as needed. We won't be providing travel/hotel accommodations - please be sure you're already going to be at PAX in Boston during any shifts you'd like to volunteer! We'll also be providing lunch for anyone working on a given day, and doing one larger dinner for the whole team (including you!) some time over the weekend.

Note - we're asking volunteers to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19, and all volunteers (and everyone else at PAX!) has to abide by the show's masking guidelines (which we're expecting to be "always wear a mask while indoors at the show").

TL;DR - if you're going to be in Boston during PAX East and helping show off/explain 30XX to folks while hanging out with the 30XX dev team sounds fun, we'd love to hear from you!

Helping out at our booth at PAX is a ton of fun, but requires that you're comfortable interacting with both fans of our games and folks who happen to be walking by! We'd love to hear about your experience & comfort level with this sort of thing. If you're only signing up for Setup and/or Strike, this is a lot less important.
