𝐅𝐈𝐑𝐒𝐓, 𝐖𝐇𝐀𝐓 𝐈𝐒 𝐀 𝐋𝐀𝐔𝐍𝐂𝐇 𝐓𝐄𝐀𝐌?

In short, it's a group of people who support an author and help to make the release of a new book a success!

Having a launch team can have an enormous effect on the book's performance both early on and in the long-term.

There are often benefits to joining a launch team such as exclusive early access to the book or opportunities to win prizes.


𝐀𝐁𝐎𝐔𝐓 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐁𝐎𝐎𝐊

𝙇𝙚𝙩'𝙨 𝙂𝙤, 𝙋𝙪𝙥𝙥𝙮! is a board book designed for babies and toddlers, written by a speech-language pathologist (aka SLP). SLPs are experts in communication development.

In 𝙇𝙚𝙩'𝙨 𝙂𝙤, 𝙋𝙪𝙥𝙥𝙮!, little ones will follow an adorable puppy as he goes about his day (and gets into some muddy mischief).

The book will:

*Provide opportunities for baby-caregiver interaction

*Include early, functional words (ex: eat, more, no)

*Promote speech-language development (i.e., encourage little ones to talk, point, and gesture)

*Provide simple tips for caregivers and a list of the earliest-developing speech sounds


𝐏𝐔𝐁𝐋𝐈𝐂𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍

𝙇𝙚𝙩'𝙨 𝙂𝙤, 𝙋𝙪𝙥𝙥𝙮! is being published by Ninewise Publishing. The book is scheduled to be released in early 2023 (likely February, but exact date TBD).


𝐍𝐎𝐓𝐄 𝐓𝐎 𝐒𝐋𝐏𝐒/𝐄𝐃𝐔𝐂𝐀𝐓𝐎𝐑𝐒

My hope for 𝙇𝙚𝙩'𝙨 𝙂𝙤, 𝙋𝙪𝙥𝙥𝙮! is that, in addition to families with little ones, SLPs (and other pediatric professionals) will be able to use the book as a teaching tool.

In addition to targeting early receptive and expressive language skills, the book can be used to:

*Work on sound-sequencing combinations

*Pair with motor speech lexicons

*Teach core words when paired with AAC systems

*Teach functional ASL signs
