Typical Campus Visits:

We'd love to host you on campus for a whole day or even a few hours! Our business hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays are usually our best days to host as that is when most courses are in session and when most folks are present and active on campus. If you are not available during business hours on one of our best days, then please consider one of the following options when determining a date to visit.

Monday & Friday Campus Visits:

Mondays and Fridays are available, but there may be few to no course options on those days if you are interested in visiting a course in session. There may also be fewer people on campus then, as well. If you would like to visit a course, but no courses are in session during your initial Monday or Friday visit, then we can arrange a second visit for you at a later date to sit in on a course.

Late Afternoon Campus Visits & Night Course Visits:

Late afternoon campus visits (2 to 4 PM) and night course visits are available upon request usually for individuals who work during the day or for current students who have morning classes. These visits usually entail meeting with one or two offices (i.e. financial aid and/or housing OR admissions and/or field education) to get answers to pressing questions and perhaps sitting in on a mid-afternoon course offering (pending availability). If a night course (6-9 PM) is available, a visitor can elect to attend for as long as they would like pending approval from the professor.

Sorry, No Weekend Visits:

Please note that our offices are NOT open on evenings after 4:30 p.m. or on weekends (Saturdays & Sundays), therefore the Admissions office is unable to accommodate visits during this time.

However, if you believe that you have special circumstances that should be accommodated over the weekend, we invite you to contact our office to discuss them at getadmitted@garrett.edu or by calling 847.866.3998 or 847.866.3945.
