Thank you for your interest in hosting your event at COTU Cafe! 
Some important things to know:

• We are holding most of our Saturday nights open for folks to host their own events, open to the public. Examples of events we've held are book launches, comedy nights, trivia nights, tarot readings, music listening sessions, and so much more. If you're interested in putting on event on a Saturday night, we'd be happy to host it at no charge to you.
• We may be open to a ticketed event, on a case by case basis, but prefer events that are free and open to the public. 
• If you're looking to host an event at a different time than Saturday night, or do a private event, we definitely still want to host you, but would likely charge a fee, which we determine a sliding scale (though typically we charge between $50/hr-$200/hr)
  
• Our max capacity for a seated event is about 40. Though anything over 30 is pretty full. We have our cafe chairs as well as folding chairs we can pull out.
  
• We have a small stage and PA you can use if needed. 
  
• Keep in mind that we're still an operating Cafe. If your event is open to the public, that means we'll also have customers coming in and out, and our employees making drinks and food. 
• If you make your poster for your event (or we can make it you can't), we'll print it and put it on our social. However, it's your job to promote your event and make sure it's well attended. 
• We can provide support in getting chairs set up, helping you use our PA, and even giving you support in planning how your event could go. But ultimately it's your job to run your event and make sure it goes smoothly. 
  
• We take scheduling commitments seriously. Canceled events hurt our business and deprive opportunities for others. We understand emergencies happen, but typically once we confirm your event and put you on the schedule, if you cancel we won't reschedule you again.
