CreativeEdgeMusic.com - Featured Artist Article Submission Form
ABOUT US
CreativeEdgeMusic.com is a grassroots media service with a common goal: to help spread the word about your music, build your audience, and increase your credibility/reputation.
We were founded in 2012 by a San Diego-based guitarist and have since featured a number of bands, new music, and related articles. We get 15,000-20,000 hits per month and growing. The CreativeEdgeMusic.com team has attended the NAMM show in Anaheim, CA and Nashville, TN nearly every year since its inception, and we are prepared to help you any way we can.
As local artists ourselves, we know what it's like trying to build a following and get the word out. It's hard! But it can be done, and it becomes easier when you are featured in music publications, news sites, and magazines. It tells people, "Hey, someone discovered me and liked my music enough to run a special on me!" This provides credibility, which beefs up your press kit and makes it easier to book shows, find new fans, and get signed to a label.
The good news is we like your music and image, which is why you're here. And we're excited to help support and promote your music! To help us help you, simply follow the instructions below to create a short article/press release for us to run on our site. We'll review your submission for approval in no time. As time goes on, you're welcome to submit up to one article per week so long as your articles have fresh and valuable information.
Yes, this is a FREE service. You are welcome to share the link to this form with other bands you know, too. We also offer in-depth interview services, custom article writing, and promotional services for a fee. If interested, you can learn more about those services and/or contact us by navigating here:

WRITE (or copy/paste) YOUR ARTICLE HERE (Min. 2000 characters)
*
Write your article in the third person. In other words, do not use "I" "me" or "my". Instead of saying "We founded cool-band-name in 2013..." you would say "cool-band-name was founded in 2013...". Got it? Alright... have at it! Make it sound exactly how you'd like it to sound, and please try to minimize any profanity. Last but not least, we find longer articles tend to get more views and shares - hence, we recommend writing at least 1,500 WORDS - but you are free to write as long or short as you'd like, so long as it's at least 2,000 CHARACTERS. Thanks!

Bonus - Get Featured on the CreativeEdgeMusic.com YouTube Channel!
BONUS: Want to be featured on the Creative Edge Music YouTube video channel? With a short showcase video you can generate more buzz, engage more potential new fans, and drive more traffic to your article. We'd love to support you by adding this to your article. Here's how to do it:
**Record a short video 30-60 seconds in length showcasing your practice studio/where you practice. It doesn't need to be fancy, and you can use your phone if you'd like.**
1. Start the video by introducing yourself with the following line: "Hey guys! This is __(your name)__ from __(band name)__, and we're here on Creative Edge Music to show your our practice studio/room/(pick the best word) in __(city/location)__. Let's do this!"
2. Introduce the rest of the band, if they exist and are available. Otherwise it's completely okay to do it with just one person.
3. Briefly show us around the practice studio, feel free to talk about your gear, your inspiration, and your music.
4. Towards the end, promote yourself! Tell people where to find you online, how to find any CDs you've released, and let people know what you're working on for the future. This is all about you!
5. Right after this, you can typically end the video with a simple "Thanks for watching guys! See you next time."
6. When you're done, upload the video file to Dropbox or Google Drive and paste the share link below. Add an mp3 of your favorite song to the Dropbox or Google Drive file if you'd like, and we'll splice it into the background of the video!
Link to Showcase Video (Optional):
Place the link to your Dropbox or Google Drive file containing the video here, and we'll edit and upload it to our YouTube channel.
