HOH Fall 2025 Scheduling Survey
PLEASE FILL OUT THE FOLLOWING SCHEDULE SURVEY IF THERE IS ANY POSSIBILITY THAT YOU WILL JOIN US FOR LESSON PROGRAMMING THIS TERM, EVEN IF YOU ARE NOT ABLE TO OR INTERESTED IN BEING ON THE LESSON SCHEDULE OR ROSTER FOR A REGULARLY SCHEDULED LESSON AS IMPORTANT PROGRAMMING INFORMATION FOLLOWS-- THANK YOU! :-)

Gathering input for our current calendar! Your input will strongly influence what the current and future calendar will look like and give imperative input as to your personal scheduling. ALL OF THE TIMES OFFERED WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE, but popularity of spacing will be a strong determiner of schedule options. Please select as many or few as are applicable-- you are NOT committing to a slot by answering, but please think through your schedule before selection :-) Please reply asap as the fall schedule will run August 11-November 2. The following winter calendar will run November 3-March 8, 2026 just as a future heads up. :-)

Please note that in order to participate in lesson groups, participants must attend 75% of scheduled classes. We want to maintain consistency and momentum in our classes by keeping everyone moving forward together :-) For those who need more fluidity in their schedules, private lessons on a session by session basis or attendance in training groups is absolutely welcomed!  Discounted lesson pack purchases will be available by prescheduling and prepaying for those lessons on the calendar. Paying for lessons on a session by session basis as each lesson is attended is also welcome for those who do not wish to prepay at the discounted rate. For those who would like to work / ride in a class we will attempt to match skills in small groups or private lessons will be available on a first-come, first-available basis.

Please feel free to ask questions as always!

For my lessons...
Options:
1. One on one intensives (private lessons)--- on topics specifically tailored to individual need and timeline; also available for family groups working on skills privately as a unit
2. Class- attendees will be grouped according to skill / safety / group size according as availability allows
3. Training groups-- may meet multiple times a week and some or all sessions can be attended, for 1 or 2 hours. These groups are intended for those working on more advanced horsemanship skills or actively training a horse where a supportive learning environment with other skilled horsemen/women is needed and appreciated, both for personal support and learning from each other. Some sessions may focus on one pair or another, some will shift to different pairs during the session, and some will find everyone working independently and alongside each other. An attitude focusing on the betterment of the horse and encouragement of each other is key :-)

Please note regarding the following schedule selections:
1. Not ALL of the listed slots will be available each week-- the calendar will fluctuate due to camp programming during the summer.
2. Due to the number of students, there may be limited options for one-on-one lessons with first priority for those in training programs with their horses (either haul in or boarded), followed by those with specific needs for one on one intensive training. However, we will do our best to accommodate as many preferences as possible! :-) Please feel free to share your preferences, goals, and needs!
3. All lessons will be confirmed with DATE BY DATE scheduling, meaning we will NOT do "every Monday at 6:30pm." Instead, you will confirm each date you would like to commit to so that we can be prepared for vacation days and etc., even if those dates happen to be occur on every Monday at 6:30 pm. :-)
4. You are welcome to schedule lessons session by session rather than be on the calendar; however, being on the lesson schedule guarantees your slot. Discounted lesson pricing is available if lessons are prescheduled and prepaid.

As a non-profit organization, our fees are well under the average for quality horsemanship instruction / support and of course your participation supports the horses who call HOH home. However, we have a continued commitment that all who want to learn are welcome so for any who are unable to manage our current rates or would like for students to have personal investment in their lessons, please inquire about our ....

** PLEASE DO NOT ANSWER WITH *ONLY* YOUR CURRENT OR IDEAL TIME SLOT SELECTED.

The purpose of the following is to determine potential availability as we attempt to work with everyone's schedule. Feel free to type in below your preference but PLEASE select in the boxes whatever availability you might have.**

Which if any of the following days / time periods would you be able to come to a lesson slot?  Also, please share below any other info you think would be helpful! Notations such as "we need to come after lunch but must be done by 515 for lessons on Tuesdays" or "we are flexible with scheduling but would specifically like to be on the same day as so and so for carpooling" and "I really need to do mornings where possible but have listed alternatives as well" can go here. Thank you for your input!

Please indicate your understanding of the following statement:
By signing up to be on the lesson schedule at Herds of Hooves, it is understood that you are signing up for horsemanship lessons rather than horse riding lessons. This means that we place heavy value and expectation of skill acquisition of ground skills just as much as mounted skills. However, we do not want to be unsafe in that endeavor.

General class / training group lesson cancelation plan: imminent threat of severe weather, temperatures in the mid-30's or lower, temperatures over 95 degrees, or a heat index of over 125 (temp + humidity).
You will be contacted if there is a need to cancel lessons. If you are unsure about the weather please feel free to reach out, but if you have not heard from us assume that lessons are on.
We will make every attempt to fulfill lesson times scheduled and, rather than cancel lessons outright if weather is not conducive to riding, we will utilize the time for ground skills, theory, husbandry, or problem-solving areas of struggle that occur repeatedly during regular lessons.
If there is any other need to cancel lessons on our part, you will be notified a minimum of the day before your scheduled lesson.

Any cancelations that you make should be made a minimum of 24 hours before scheduled lesson time.
Please plan to pay a $25 cancelation fee for lessons canceled within 24 hours of lesson time.
Please plan to pay in full for lessons canceled within 3 hours of lesson time or missed lessons.

*Lesson cancelation plan for private and haul-in lessons will be customized based on transport needs of horses and specific goals / needs in private lessons
