Un Mapa de Flujo de Valor (Value Stream Mapping - VSM) es un diagrama que permite visualizar en una forma gráfica, el flujo de información y de materiales, facilitando el entendimiento del proceso que allí se representa desde que el cliente solicita un producto o servicio, hasta que lo recibe a satisfacción, identificando oportunidades de mejora, mediante la reducción de "desperdicios".
