JBTVL Practicum Application
To be considered for the Fall 2020 semester, applications should be submitted by March 2, 2020, 11:59 PM.

This application is for the JBTVL Practicum class at UT Austin's McCombs School of Business. The course is available to all UT Austin graduate students. Students who apply will be interviewed and screened. Only students who do well in this process will be invited to join the class. For MBA students, you do not need to bid for this class as it is an invite-only class (based on your application and screening).

As a general timeline, the application deadline usually falls 6-8 weeks before registration opens for the semester you are applying to. If you would like to sign up for reminders about upcoming application rounds please visit: https://bit.ly/JBTVL_Remind

You may apply at any time for the practicum, however, your application will be reviewed only for the semester in which you apply. Applications submitted for the upcoming cycle but slightly past the deadline will be considered late. Late applications are in consideration for the next round by default but could be considered for the current recruiting cycle on a case by case basis. Visit our website at http://tvl.utexas.edu or email us at infoTVL@mccombs.utexas.edu.

This application will not save your progress, so please be sure to have all materials (including a resume and cover letter) gathered before starting this application. If you encounter any technical issues, please email infoTVL@mccombs.utexas.edu.

About the Practicum
The JBTVL Practicum connects graduate students from across the university with startups from the Austin community.

The class is held on Monday evenings from 6 PM - 9 PM. The course consists of two main components: 1) team consulting projects for two startups and 2) seminars on business topics led by experts and startup veterans. Teams include business, law, engineering, science, and other UT Austin graduate students. Consulting projects are typically related to market validation, go-to-market strategy, competitive analysis or financial modeling in order to prepare the company to present to investors at the end-of-semester Venture Expo.
