We are honored to host Corrina Gould, the co-founder of the urban indigenous women-led Sogorea'Te Land Trust, and Carroll Fife, the Director of Alliance of Californians for Community Empowerment (ACCE) Oakland and an organizer with Moms 4 Housing. The conversation will be moderated by Dr. Brandi T. Summers, an assistant professor of Geography and Global Metropolitan Studies at UC Berkeley.

In December 2019, Moms4Housing occupied a vacant, investor-owned home in Oakland. Moms4Housing organizer, Dominique Walker, told the world “We’re not leaving without a fight.” This event honors their fight and the fight of generations of Black and indigenous organizers to reclaim land and power in the face of destructive policies and politics.
