2025-2026 WES Walker Application / Consent Form

Only students not WCPSS transportation eligible due to them living close to Weatherstone may walk to and from school. Eligible families must complete this walker application / consent form for EACH child to walk home.

Please read the following statements carefully before completing this form:

I give permission for the student(s) I list on this form to walk home for the 2025-2026 school year. I understand that no child in kindergarten or first grade may walk home without an adult or older 4th or 5th grade sibling. When picking up my child, I will present my family number to the staff member on duty.
I understand students in grades two through five may walk home independently with parent permission given through this form.
I agree to talk with my child(ren) about proper safety and expectations when walking home.
I understand that walking privileges may be suspended if my child(ren) exhibits unsafe behaviors when walking, my child walks to a car for pick-up, or if my child no longer resides in the walk zone area.
