Organized by the Inter-agency and Expert Group on Sustainable Development Goal Indicators
19 September 2016 - 28 September 2016
*Required
Instructions - Please Read before beginning the consultation:
At the 47th Statistical Commission in March 2016, the global indicator framework was agreed upon, as a practical starting point and subject to future technical refinement. In addition, the 47th Statistical Commission, in decision 47/101 (e), “Requested the Inter‐Agency and Expert Group to take into account the specific proposals for refinements of the indicators made by Member States during the discussion”. In follow-up to that decision, the IAEG-SDGs has been discussing the possibility of proposing a limited set of refinements of the indicator framework based on decision 47/101 (e). The IAEG-SDGs has reviewed the current version of the indicator framework and identified certain indicators where they believe refinements may be necessary.
The IAEG-SDGs is seeking inputs from all interested organizations and stakeholders on the possible proposed refinements through this current consultation.
Please note that the inclusion of a specific indicator or proposal in this consultation does not indicate that a proposal for a refinement of this indicator will eventually be submitted to the Statistical Commission. The IAEG-SDGs will review the inputs received and decide on the merit of each individual refinement to be proposed to the Statistical Commission.
The consultation only includes the indicators already identified by the IAEG-SDGs as those possibly for refinement. For the complete list of indicators agreed by the UN Statistical Commission in March 2016, please see:
http://unstats.un.org/sdgs/indicators/indicators-list/
This consultation is for observers and other stakeholders of the IAEG-SDGs that include: non-IAEG member countries, international and regional organisations, entities, funds and programmes, civil society, academia and the private sector.
Participants in this consultation are encouraged to submit their comments on the refinements of the indicators included in the attached list only.
Important Note: We ask that you please consult with colleagues within your organization prior to completing the online consultation form in order to limit the number of submissions to one per organization and facilitate the final compilation of inputs. A pdf version of this questionnaire is available on the IAEG-SDGs website:

to share with your colleagues. After coordinating with your colleagues, please enter your responses below. Please note the character limit per response.
