Background: In 2015, recognizing the structural inequities that have resulted in a broken pipeline from K-12 to public higher education, particularly for low income students and underrepresented students of color, the College for All Coalition was formed to advocate for reinvestment in public higher education to promote increased access, affordability, diversity and equity. College for All is a multiracial, cross-sectoral coalition that now includes over 20 diverse organizations representing community, education, student, parent, labor, and civil rights groups throughout the state.
