Volunteer Registration Italian Day 2017
Italian Day is one of Vancouver's favourite events of the summer. This year's Italian Day on The Drive takes place Sunday June 11, 2017.

Experience the event from a whole new perspective by volunteering. It takes many, many volunteers to make this event happen. We couldn't do it without you!

We have many ways you can help make this event a success:

• Morning Set Up: setting up tents, tables and chairs; making sure everything is in place and looks good before the public arrives
• Traffic Control: in order to create a pedestrian-only zone along 17 blocks of Commercial Drive we need to barricade the streets, and we need people to make sure no cars get through! While not the most exciting job, it is the most important!
• Volunteer Tent Attendants: Help manage volunteer check in, provide security for volunteers' belongings, make sure the tent is well-stocked with snacks!
• Stage Crew: assists the stage managers at our live music stages; requires previous stage tech experience
• Green Room Attendants: provides security at artist green rooms, makes sure the room is tidy, hospitality is stocked up
• Piazza Hosts: 5 piazzas are placed along Commercial Drive, giving attendees a place to sit, eat, and relax. The hosts make sure the piazza is tidy, garbage and recycling is in its proper place, and that the area is welcoming.
• Block Captains: supervise the volunteers in a particular zone, keep an eye on the vendors, check the washrooms, answer questions for the public. Requires previous volunteer and supervisory experience. Must be confident and level-headed.
• Floaters: willing to fill in where needed, adaptable, easy-going.

Volunteers are asked to commit to a minimum of 4 hours. In addition to all the warm fuzzies you get from making this a successful event, you will also get a volunteer t-shirt, snacks, a meal, and be eligible for prizes!
