The Conference at ACER VIII

The week will end with a 2-day conference on Thursday and Friday the 17th & 18th  of October 2024. In addition to panel discussions and keynote speakers, the conference will offer sessions in which selected papers will be presented and discussed.

Discount on group bookings

A group discount of 10% is available for registrations of three or more delegates from the same organisation. The discount applies to any combination of course and conference bookings. If you are part of such a group, please note the following:

1. Entries in the fields below titled Billing OrganisationPhysical Address of the Billing Organisation, and Billing email address should be completed identically, to ensure the group members are easily associated.

2. The discount will be applied at the time of invoicing, and only if at least three delegates from the same organisation have submitted registration forms by that point. Any additional delegates from that organisation should use the same billing details used by their colleagues who registered at an earlier date. The discount will be applied to each additional registration. 

3. It is up to delegates to follow up on payment authorisations and processes within their organisations, and ensure that payment is made and payment confirmation is sent to CCRED as requested. We recommend that you appoint one person in the group to facilitate this process within your organisation on behalf of the whole group.

Booking for ACER IX *

Please note:

1. Once your registration form has been submitted, an invoice will be raised and sent to you at the email address you provide in the Booking Form. The invoice will contain payment instructions and account details. Once you have made payment, please email a copy of the Payment Notification to selim@uj.ac.za

2. Booking will be treated on a first-come-first-served basis, and confirmation will only be given once full payment is made.

3. The costs charged by the University of Johannesburg cover relevant course materials, two refreshment breaks, and lunch on each day of your registration. Costs do not include flights, transfers, breakfast, dinner, accommodation, additional drinks or incidentals.

4. Early bird rates apply to payments made on or before the 1st of August 2024 at 23:59 (SAST).

5. A group discount of 10% is available for registrations of three or more delegates from the same organisation.

6. Registration closes on 30 of September 2024.

7. ACER will be held in person and the working language will be English. If you require the services of an interpreter, the organisers will send you a list of recommended service providers. Arrangements for interpretation services will need to be made between you and the service provider, and any charges arising settled by you directly.

8. A videographer/photographer will be contracted to gather audio and visual material at any of the ACER Week sessions. The material which will be used by the organisers for marketing purposes during and after ACER Week. Your consent of use will be sought at the start of ACER Week. You will be free to opt out or withdraw consent.
