Together for Brothers (T4B) Fall 2021 with the Brothers Application: Community Justice Youth Leaders, Project Managers, Youth Leaders, Youth Leaders-Plus and Youth Organizers
There are five paid opportunities with three deadlines for Fall with the Brothers from September 7-December 17 for self-identified young men of color (YMOC) ages 12-24 years old.

Project Managers (15.0 hours, 14 weeks and $18.00/hour)* Deadline is Friday, August 20
Youth Organizers (10.0 hours, 12 weeks and $15.00/hour)* Deadline is Tuesday, September 7
Community Justice Youth Leaders (7.5 hours, 8 weeks and $10.50/hour)** Deadline is Friday, September 17
Youth Leaders-Plus (5.0 hours, 8 weeks and $10.50/hour) Deadline is Friday, September 17
Youth Leaders (1.5-3.0 hours, 8 weeks and $10.50/hour) Deadline is Friday, September 17

*Requires past participation with Together for Brothers (T4B) cohort(s)
**Required to be "systems impacted" with personal or family experience with school discipline or other justice systems

Weekly Tuesday and Thursday circles from 4:00-5:30pm will be online and bi-weekly Wednesday circles from 3:30-6:30pm will be COVID-safe/in person. The week of November 22-26 will be a "fall break" with no circles.

All YMOC have options of: 1) Youth Leaders for eight weeks with at least one circle weekly for 1.5-3.0 hours each week up to 3.0 weekly hours; 2) Youth Leaders-Plus for eight weeks with two-three circles weekly for up to 5.0 weekly hours; and 3) Community Justice Youth Leaders for eight weeks with two-three circles weekly and other community activities and meetings for up to 7.5 hours.

YMOC with T4B cohort experience will also be able to apply for 1) Youth Organizers for twelve weeks with Monday Youth Organizing Circles, two-three Fall with the Brothers circles weekly and other activities and meetings to be assigned up to 10 weekly hours and 2) Project Managers for fourteen weeks with Monday Youth Organizing Circles, two-three Fall with the Brothers circles weekly, other activities and meetings to be assigned and other project planning up to 15 weekly hours.

Please note this fall the brothers are combining art making, biking, cooking, leadership and outdoor recreation in one program. YMOC who live, work, play, pray or learn in the International District and Westgate will have preference. T4B will be accepting 5 Community Justice Youth Leaders, 5-10 Youth Leaders, 5-10 Youth Leaders-Plus, 4 Youth Organizers and 2 Project Managers. Middle school students are encouraged to apply as Youth Leaders.

Options include hourly stipends for young men of color who successfully complete the Fall with the Brothers. Community Justice Youth Leaders, Project Managers, Youth Leaders-Plus and Youth Organizers include participation in ReFresh with Three Sisters Kitchen for September-December as well as support with a bicycle and helmet if needed. YMOC can also request support for technology including equipment or WiFi to connect to online circles.

YOUTH LEADERS (DROP IN):
- 8-week cohort from October 4-December 3 (with a fall break from November 22-26) with weekly online circles on Tuesdays and Thursdays (4:00-5:30pm) or bi-weekly in person circles on Wednesdays (3:30-6:30pm)
- Arabic, Dari, Spanish and Swahili speakers are highly encouraged to apply
- Participate in circles
- Compensated at $10.50/hour for successful participation in circles and celebration for up to $250.00 in stipend
- Must attend one weekly circle or 6:8 circles, submit appropriate artifacts and miss no more than two circles to successfully complete the program and receive stipend
- Priority will be given to Youth Leaders who have not previously participated with T4B and YMOC connected to (live, work, play, pray or learn in) the International District and Westgate neighborhoods
- Deadline to apply is Friday, September 17

YOUTH LEADERS-PLUS (INTERNSHIP):
- 8-week cohort and internship from October 4-December 3 (with a fall break from November 22-26) with weekly online circles on Tuesdays and Thursdays (4:00-5:30pm) or bi-weekly in person circles on Wednesdays (3:30-6:30pm) with additional community activities and meetings to be determined
- Arabic, Dari, Spanish and Swahili speakers are highly encouraged to apply
- Participate in circles or community activities and meetings
- Compensated at $10.50/hour for participation in circles, community activities or meetings and celebration for up to $500.00 in addition to ReFresh (bi-weekly local food share) participation and bicycle, helmet and other recreation supplies provided if needed
- Must attend two-three weekly circles or 16:20 circles, submit all artifacts or only miss no more than four circles to successfully complete the program and receive the stipend
- Previous experience as T4B Youth Leader encouraged
- Deadline to apply is Friday, September 17
- Requires participation in a group interview on Monday, September 20 from 4:00-5:30pm

COMMUNITY JUSTICE YOUTH LEADERS (INTERNSHIP):

- Participate in circles or community activities and meetings
- Compensated at $10.50/hour for participation in circles, community activities or meetings and celebration for up to $750.00 in addition to ReFresh (bi-weekly local food share) participation and bicycle, helmet and other recreation supplies provided if needed
- Must attend two-three weekly circles or 16:20 circles, submit all artifacts or only miss no more than four circles to successfully complete the program and receive the stipend
- Must also attend community activities and meetings including support collecting surveys and other data or feedback from community about community justice
- Deadline to apply is Friday, September 17
- Requires participation in a group interview on Monday, September 20 from 4:00-5:30pm

YOUTH ORGANIZERS (INTERNSHIP):
- 12-week cohort and internship from September 20-December 17 (with a fall break from November 22-26) with weekly online circles on Mondays (6:00-8:00pm), Tuesdays and Thursdays (4:00-5:30pm) or bi-weekly in person circles on Wednesdays (3:30-6:30pm) with additional community activities and meetings to be determined
- Arabic, Dari, Spanish and Swahili speakers are highly encouraged to apply
- Participate in circles or community activities and meetings
- Compensated at $15.00/hour for participation in circles, community activities or meetings and celebration for up to $1,800.00 in addition to ReFresh (bi-weekly local food share) participation and bicycle, helmet and other recreation supplies provided if needed
- Must attend two-three weekly circles or 20:20 circles and submit all artifacts to successfully complete the program and receive the stipend
- Must also attend community activities and meetings including support collecting surveys and other data or feedback from community about community justice, build relationships and complete 1:1s with youth leaders and support other planning and facilitating for Fall with the Brothers
- Previous experience as T4B Youth Leader required
- Deadline to apply is Tuesday, September 7
- Requires participation in a group interview on Tuesday, September 7 from 4:00-5:30pm

PROJECT MANAGERS (INTERNSHIP):
- 14-week cohort and internship from September 7-December 17 (with a fall break from November 22-26) with weekly online circles on Mondays (6:00-8:00pm), Tuesdays and Thursdays (4:00-5:30pm) or bi-weekly in person circles on Wednesdays (3:30-6:30pm) with additional community activities and meetings to be determined
- Arabic, Dari, Spanish and Swahili speakers are highly encouraged to apply
- Participate in circles or community activities and meetings
- Compensated at $3,780.00/hour for participation in circles, community activities or meetings and celebration for up to $1,800.00 in addition to ReFresh (bi-weekly local food share) participation and bicycle, helmet and other recreation supplies provided if needed
- Must attend two-three weekly circles or 20:20 circles and submit all artifacts to successfully complete the program and receive the stipend
- Must also attend community activities and meetings including support collecting surveys and other data or feedback from community about community justice, build relationships and complete 1:1s with youth leaders and support other planning and facilitating for Fall with the Brothers and Community Justice or other projects
- Previous experience as T4B Youth Organizer required
- Deadline to apply is Friday, August 20
- Requires participation in a group interview on Friday, August 20 from 4:00-5:00pm
