We hope you'll join the Persuasion advisors, team, and fellow members of our community for a celebration of our three-year anniversary!

The month-long program will feature a report live from Ukraine with Kateryna Kibarova, a discussion on George Orwell's life and works with his most acclaimed biographer, a discussion about civil discourse on campus with student and faculty leaders, and a book talk with Yascha Mounk on his newest work, The Identity Trap.

In conversation with Persuasion senior editor Luke Hallam, Persuasion founder and editor-in-chief discusses his new book, The Identity Trap: A Story of Ideas and Power in Our Time.

Wednesday, October 18th at 7:30pm: Are The Kids Alright? Discourse on Campus

The founder of an on-campus chapter of Persuasion, Matt Major, and Professor Jake Mackey discuss their work to promote civic discourse on campus—and whether the future of liberal values on campus may be brighter than it sometimes seems.

Wednesday, November 1st at 1pm: Report from Kyiv

In a live report from Kyiv, Persuasion contributor Kateryna Kibarova, author of a harrowing series of dispatches since the beginning of the Russian invasion, describes the realities of daily life as winter nears. With live translation by Professor Julia Sushytska.

Sunday, November 12th at 5pm: The Life and Thought of George Orwell

In conversation with Persuasion editor-in-chief Yascha Mounk, Orwell biographer and Pulitzer Prize finalist Michael Shelden discusses Orwell's life and enduring lessons.
