God Has a Plan-1

Heaven was a happy place, until an angel named Lucifer decided that he wanted to be more important than God Himself. He began to think of overthrowing God, so he could rule the world. He successfully influenced one third of the angels to join him.

1. What happened to Lucifer and his wicked angels?
Rev. 12:9, NKJV-  “So the great dragon was (a)_____ (b)____, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who (c)________ the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.” Everything God created was perfect. Adam and Eve, the first people whom God created, were happy. But Satan was still jealous. He came to the Garden to tempt them to disobey God. He talked to Eve through a serpent, and tried to get her to eat a fruit that God had said they should not, else they would die.

2. What did Satan say that made Eve eat of the fruit?
Gen. 3:4, 5, NKJV- “Then the serpent said to the woman, ‘You will (a)____ surely die.’ For God knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be (b)________, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil." Eve ate, then gave her husband Adam to eat also. They began to feel guilty, ashamed and naked. They covered themselves with fig leaves and tried to hide from God. That’s what sin does. It brings only evil.

5. What is the punishment for sin?
Romans 6:23, NKJV-  “For the wages of sin is (a)_______”. God sent Adam and Eve out of Eden, so they could not eat of the fruit of the tree of life and live forever. Sin cost them their life (Gen. 3:22, 23). Death is the end result of sin.

7. What was God’s plan to save sinners?
John 3:16, NKJV-"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever (a)___________ in Him should not perish but have (b)________________ life.”The law cried out for justice. Somebody had to die to satisfy the claims of the law, for its tenets had been broken. Mercifully, Jesus chose to die in our place, so we do not have to die in hellfire one day. “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is (c)___________ (d)_______ in Christ Jesus our Lord” Romans 6:23, NKJV. No repentant sinner will perish in hell fire. Because of God’s forgiveness, Adam and Eve will have eternal life. And if you accept Jesus as your own Savior, you too will have eternal life.

8. What then, is the only means of salvation?
Ephesians 2:8, NKJV- “For by (a)_______ you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the (b)_____ of God.” Generally, Grace is any good thing you receive that you did not earn or deserve. We surely do not deserve God’s mercy. We are not saved by our good deeds, even though God requires it. We are saved by grace. What then?! Say thanks and live like you mean it.
