2019 Saturday Serendipity Instructor Contract
The Moline Council for the Gifted hosts a one day event each year at Wilson Middle School to offer students fun, yet enriching activities, different than what is available at school. Classes differ each year and range from athletics to art to food. We hope you are interested in teaching a class this year. The event this year is SATURDAY, MARCH 16th from 9:00 am-1:30 pm.
You are able to choose the ages of your students, 1st through 5th grade, as well as the number of students in each class. You have the option to have an all day class with lunch in the middle or two shorter classes. Students may be asked to bring materials or pay a small, separate lab fee, payable directly to you. Due to increasing complaints from parents with multiple children, we ask that any fees you charge be reviewed for reasonableness. If students do not take anything home with them after class, it is not reasonable to charge a high fee.
If you are interested, please fill out the attached form by January 27th. You will receive confirmation of receipt several days afterwards.
You will be compensated $100 for your time! If you are not available, but know someone who would like to teach, feel free to pass along this message! We love having new teachers!
Completion of this form is agreeing to teach class for Moline Council for the Gifted's Saturday Serendipity program on March 16, 2019. You agree to hold harmless both the Moline Council for the Gifted and Moline-Coal Valley School District 40. PLEASE PROVIDE DETAILS FOR YOUR CLASS TO USE IN THE COURSE CATALOG. Form must be returned by January 27th. Return of this form is not a guarantee of class taking place. If enrollment is low, you may be asked to do a half day session. Fees will be at a different rate. Classes may also be canceled for lack of enrollment.
We truly appreciate your involvement with this program. The students look forward to it every year. This is MCG's largest fundraiser with proceeds helping students and teachers throughout the District.
