If you are interested in helping out and joining our community of volunteers, please consider becoming a tutor for students from grades 1-12!

With upcoming changes to schooling due to COVID-19, students are being presented with a challenging transition that makes access to academic help more difficult. This is especially true for those whose families may not be able to afford it during stressful times like these, and those whose caregivers are still working overtime at the front-lines of this pandemic. If you have a some time to spare and knowledge to share, this is the perfect opportunity to put that knowledge to good use!

Depending on your area(s) of expertise, we will connect you to a student in need of tutoring services. You will be provided with general guidelines, and hours will be flexible. Tutoring sessions will be provided remotely (via Zoom, Skype, Google Hangouts, etc.). Students will largely be located within the Greater Toronto Area, but your location will not be a factor in your application at all.

All educators are welcome to apply; we wholeheartedly appreciate any help with this initiative. We are mainly accepting college and university students, but secondary school students will also be considered. Although experience in tutoring is not mandatory, regular check-ins and feedback forms will be given to both you and your student to ensure that sessions run smoothly.

Please note that there is a minimum commitment of 3 months (equivalent to one whole academic quadmester) and that this is an unpaid position. Due to the high number of applications, we cannot guarantee a match. While it may take some time to match you with a suitable student, we will be working as quickly as we can and we thank you in advance for your patience.
