EXTRA Player Tryout Request AYSO 1508 French Valley  2024 - 2025 Participation Form
All Players (AYSO and Non-AYSO) with specified birth years for each division listed below can tryout. These are open tryouts. The EXTRA program is club like soccer at an AYSO price. This is a very competitive year long travel program. It takes 100% commitment from the player and 100% commitment from the family. PLEASE NOTE: Trying out does not guarantee a spot on a team. If there are not enough players, or the skill level is not high enough, no teams may be formed.

We have 2 potential EXTRA Teams for the 2024 - 2025 Season. They are 13UB and 13UG. Your child's birth year should be 2012 or 2013.

The EXTRA Tryout will assess your player on different skill sets, knowledge of the game and conditioning. We also consider parent/family participation and involvement in our league when making a final decision on players. All of the above will be considered and if selected..you will be notified by phone. The tryout(s) does not guarantee that your player will be selected for the EXTRA Team. Please acknowledge that you understand that this is a tryout(s) and to be added to the team your player will have to be invited by the league once the tryouts are over. Again, trying out for the team does not guarantee that your player will be selected.

If your player is selected to be on an EXTRA Team they are not allowed to be in another League and or Club soccer team. This EXTRA level requires full commitment from the player and families. Your player and you as a family must be 100% committed to the team if selected.

Please acknowledge that if your player is selected to be on an EXTRA Team they will not be joining another soccer league or club league.

How many seasons of soccer experience does child have?

EXTRA Team practices a minimum of 2 - 3 times a week and is a higher level of soccer where the expectations are much higher.  If selected, the program is a 10 month commitment from Fall 2024 to end of Spring 2025. There will also be multiple tournaments throughout the 10 month season that your player will be required to participate in.  Does your child and you as a family understand the commitment to practices, games and volunteer participation?

The EXTRA Program families are also expected to be the example to our region when it comes to volunteer participation.  EXTRA Player families are expected to offer support to the region such as volunteering as needed, including volunteering as referees for matches within AYSO Region 1508. Please acknowledge that you understand and are willing to provide support on activities listed above.*
