I am Dr. Emel Basturk, a visiting researcher at Cardiff University. I’m conducting research titled “Local Media and Digital Transformation in the context of Sustainable Journalism” with the financial support of the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey, and the supervision of Cardiff University School of Journalism Media and Culture (JOMEC).

Within the scope of this research, I am conducting this survey that includes questions about your habits of following the local media, and your thoughts and perceptions about this issue. The survey will be applied to adults living in Cardiff and London. Firstly, I will ask you a few questions about yourself to clearly understand the factors that may influence local news following habits and make comparisons. It will then take you approximately 7 minutes to complete the rest of the survey depending on the media you use. The results of the survey will only be used for the purpose of generating data, for academic studies.
