1.    GENERAL INFORMATION ON THE OBSERVING SYSTEM AND THE RESPONDENT
1.1  Name of the respondent *
1.2  Affiliation of the respondent *
1.3  Email address of the respondent *
1.4   Country of the respondent *
1.5 Domain of the observing system *
Required
1.6 Category of the observing system *
The given choices have been designed to include the observing systems addressed by the INTAROS partners. It is by no means an exhaustive list, and respondents should not hesitate to select “other” and write the name of the category where their observing system belongs to if it is missing from the given list. The observing system should be located inside the boundaries of the Arctic Monitoring and Assessment Program (AMAP), or, in the case of hydrological data, inside the boundaries of the Arctic Ocean Drainage Basins following the AAR (All Arctic Regions) definition proposed by Shiklomanov et al, 2000 (see Figure). More than one box can be checked if the observing system belong to more than one category.

1.7  Provide the name (or identification) of the observing system *
Some names of observing systems are given as examples in parentheses in question 1.6.  The name reported here will be included in the list of names of observing systems, accessible from the main web page of the survey. Only the names listed in that list should be used in questionnaire B, when it is asked to specify the observing system to which the data collection belongs.
1.8   General comments on the observing system
Issues and shortcomings regarding spatial and temporal coverage of the observing system, observed variables, data management, and metadata can be addressed here.
1.9 Project(s) or Monitoring Program under which framework the observing system was established (if relevant)
1.10 Spatial coverage *
Give the name and location of the platform(s), with one line for each platform, containing: platform name, a vertical bar (|), and the geometry of the platform expressed as Well-known-Text 2 (WKT2, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Well-known_text). Give coordinates in decimal degrees, using a minus sign for Western longitudes. See below for examples.

1.11    Temporal coverage *
Give start date of the observing system (yyyy.mm.dd), and, if relevant, the end date (yyyy.mm.dd). Separate start-end dates with a dash (-). If different components of the systems have different starting dates, please provide the date of the component that started first, and write the starting dates of the other components in the general comments on the system (question 1.8). If start date is not known, write the text "unknown" (without quotes).
1.12 Contact details (email) for the observing system *
In case of a single platform or a group of platforms, the contact details for the addressed platform(s)
1.13 URL of  the observing system (if it exists)
1.14 Institutional body(s) coordinating the observing system or managing the observing platform(s) *
If the system includes observing platform(s) that do not have a common institutional coordinator, please write the name of the institutional body(s) managing the platform(s)
