FIVR Hub - Workspace for AR/VR projects
The FIVR hubs offer free work spaces and equipment for teams and companies in their early phase of development who work in Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality or Mixed Reality projects. Using the space and its equipment does not cost anything, bind the team in anyway and all the work and rights to it stay within the developing team.
We have now opened applications to our newest location, The Helsinki XR Center, located in the Arabianranta design district and to be opened in 2019.
The hubs are located in central city areas. Each one offers a cozy workspace with shared equipment (HTC Vive, Gear VR, Oculus Rift CV1, mocap suit..) and facilities (meeting rooms, cafeteria with lunch possibilities). Along with these the hub offers developers with contacts to the XR scene in Finland and visiting guests from around the world.
New teams will be added along as more equipment comes available.
FIVR Hubs have been founded in collaboration by FIVR (Finnish Virtual Reality Association Ry.), Metropolia, National Broadcasting Company YLE, Eläke Varma, Turku game Hub Hive and Technology Industries of Finland Centennial Foundation.

How do we select the teams?
1. Is your idea unique, inventive or spectacular? This is what we are looking for, there are enough VR rollarcoasters in the world already.
2. The amount of need for the space. We want to support teams who in their current state gain the most from the free computers and dev space along with other VR developers.
