This form should take about 5 minutes to fill out. By filling out this form, you can tell us how you want to be involved in the Simpson Ministry at St. Thomas the Apostle. Also, we can tailor our communications to you based on the level of involvement you choose.
For example, if you check the "Housewarming Ministry Updates" box, you will receive an email when we are assigned a family. Each family has specific needs as they transition to housing (clothing and shoes, for example) and when the items are needed. We also use this distribution list to notify you of special events, such as concerts that benefit Simpson's Soar program for homeless children. You may also choose to be on the delivery team and will be notified of delivery dates and information when you check the "Delivery of Household Goods to Family" box. If you are interested in serving meals to homeless adults, check the "Serving Meals at Simpson Shelter" box. You may check one, two, or all three boxes.
By signing up, you are NOT committing yourself to helping out each time. If it doesn't work for your schedule to help out when you are notified that we are sponsoring a family, maybe it will next time. In our Housewarming Ministry this year, we are on pace to help 6 to 8 families transition from homelessness. In addition, we also have three teams of parishioners that take turns to serve one meal per month to the homeless at the Simpson Overnight Shelter. This translates to 4 meals per year per team.
Please be assured that all your information remains confidential and you can choose to opt out of our e-mail list(s) at any time. If you have problems with this form, please send an email to STASimpsonMinistry@gmail.com.
