Register for Transforming Texts: On Beauty by Elaine Scarry — December 3, 2025, 6–8pm at Brooklyn Public Library
Can we redefine our futures by redefining our forms? How might the act of reading together itself be transformative? Transforming Texts is an experimental reading group that takes place monthly in 2025 as part of the Department of Transformation’s residency at The Clemente. Each time, we will have new co-facilitators and new formats for playing with how we gather collectively to read.

PLEASE NOTE: For our December 2025 meeting, we'll gather at Brooklyn Public Library Central Branch (10 Grand Army Plaza, Brooklyn NY 11238), where the exhibition Department of Transformation: Letters for the Future opened November 3. For this meeting, Katelyn White and Roy Zunder will co-facilitate a conversation about the text On Beauty by Elaine Scarry.
