Proposed Concept:

Teens Who Care St Pete (TWC St Pete) will meet once a year to meet and listen to 3 local nonprofits present on the mission of their organization and include a 'project' that the teens can do to get involved with them to volunteer. The members will vote after the presentations for which organization will receive the Teens Give Fund Award. The members will be required to tour the facility of the winning nonprofit, present the Fund Award Check and to help complete the proposed project within the scope of the fund.

Fund Award: The TWC St Pete members will each provide a donation (proposed at $25 each). The total amount raised between the TWC St Pete group will be called the "Teens Give Award Fund". This will be raised on the TWC St Pete Grapevine platform where the funds will be collectively raised and can only be sent by check to official 501c3 organizations.

Members: Each Teen that signs up on Grapevine and donates to the fund collection ($25 each) will become a member and will be required to help complete any voted projects with the total fund award. This is a volunteer base organization and each member will receive volunteer hours. Members can be male and female from any high school in the St Petersburg/Pinellas Area. Middle school students in the 7th and 8th grade will also be accepted to prepare to take on leadership roles once in high school. Members will be in charge of inviting others from their schools, churches and affiliations on how they can volunteer and get involved.

Teen Leadership Board: Positions will be filled on a Leadership Board to define roles of the organization, select meeting dates, organize meeting structures, review and select nonprofit applications to TWC St Pete, share creative outreach and membership ideas and connection.

Parent Advisory Council - A Parent Advisory Council will attend the Teen nonprofit selection meetings to provide feedback and organization advisory during the initial kick off year. The PAC will attend the annual TWC St Pete Meeting for vote and Fund Award selection.

Teens Give is looking to provide volunteer options for teens and connecting with nonprofits in the community. How many hours would you or your teen be interested to volunteer with this program in the 2024-2025 school year? 10, 20, 30, 40, 50+ *
