Business Essentials for Food & Beverage is an intensive 12-week virtual accelerator developed by Proof to help restaurateurs and foodservice entrepreneurs build stable, growth-ready businesses. The program equips participants with practical tools and expert guidance across critical areas including financial management, regulatory navigation, marketing strategy, human resources, operations, and long-term business planning.

Delivered through a statewide partnership between Proof, the Tennessee Department of Economic & Community Development (TNECD), and Tennessee Main Street, this initiative is designed to strengthen food and beverage businesses within Main Street communities.

Participants accepted into the program receive not only curriculum-based instruction, but also direct 1:1 consulting and coaching support from the entire Proof team at no cost. This hands-on technical assistance ensures entrepreneurs receive personalized, actionable guidance tailored to their specific business needs.

As part of the broader statewide effort, Main Street communities gain access to Proof’s e-learning resources, best practices, tools, and peer-learning networks. This initiative represents a coordinated effort to build stronger, more resilient food and beverage businesses while advancing economic development across Tennessee’s Main Street communities.

Applications for this exclusive program are open until April 8th, 2026 with notifications of acceptance scheduled by April 10th. The course kicks off virtually (live session) on April 20th, 2026.

Due to the nature of this statewide initiative, all sessions will be live' virtual sessions strategically scheduled throughout the duration of the program, providing participants with invaluable insights and support on their journey to restaurant resilience and success.
