The theme for this year’s VACE Conference at The Omni Richmond Hotel is:
VACE 2018: A Capital Event
Program proposals for the annual conference at the Homestead will be evaluated and selected with this theme in mind. The goal is to offer conference attendees a comprehensive variety of topical, current, innovative, and relevant sessions from which to choose. VACE Member surveys have indicated topics of interest to be:
Utilizing LinkedIn: helping students develop profiles and fully utilize the tools Data collection Building relationships with faculty Non-traditional students: counseling, employers hiring Best practices for engaging students in events and with social media Current issues employers are facing and how colleges can meet needs Leadership training Interviewing techniques: evaluating, case interviews, etc.Advancing within one's profession
Be sure to include all requested program information clearly. Submitted programs should be engaging either college career professionals, employers, or both, with clearly defined benefits for attendees.
