2019 École Champs Vallée School Running Club

Starting on Tuesday, September 3rd, the Champs Vallée Running Club will begin training. Practices will be held on the following days from 3:15 PM until approximately 3:45 PM.


-Tuesday, October 1 - Practice

-Wednesday, October 2 - Rundle Park- EDMONTON HARRIERS CROSS COUNTRY SERIES 2019 (Optional, Parents Transport, $7.00 per child per race)

-Saturday, October 5 - THE BOLE CLASSIC X-Country Meet (Optional, Parents Transport, $10.00)

-Monday, October 7 - Practice

-Tuesday, October 8 - Practice

-Tuesday, October 15 - Practice - Final Practice

-Saturday, October 19 - Hawrelak Park, Edmonton, AB - 2018 Annual Autumn Cross-Country Classic


The running club will meet at the northeast corner of the Champs Vallée soccer fields. Students are encouraged to wear clothing and shoes suitable for athletics and the weather. Transportation home after each practice will be the responsibility of you and your child.



The club is open to all students in Grades 3 to 9. No experience is necessary, as the focus will be on participation. The training runs will follow a variety of 1 to 2 kilometre routes near the school. The runs will be supervised by staff members.

Parent volunteers are welcome to participate by walking or running with the students. The Running Club participants are encouraged to participate in the optional annual Leduc and District Athletics Association Cross-Country Meet during the day. Further details regarding the meet will be sent home as they become available.

These events are completely optional for students participating in Running Club.
Please check off all the events that you wish to enter. Fees will be payable through PowerSchool on your child's account. Parents are responsible for transportation. The school will have a staff member at each event to coach.
