WSP credit is given in this form: work for one week (40 hours), receive $100 credit (2 weeks—$200) toward your tuition. Interns MUST attend an entire Intern training the Saturday before their assigned session and succesfully complete all hours in order to receive tuition credit. Interns may instead opt for community service hours, but if so, they do not also receive the tuition credit.
Interns are assigned to assist either a classroom Teacher or the Academy Staff.
WSP applicants must have completed the 8th grade and must be a veteran Academy student in good standing.
Once we have received your application, we will contact you to schedule an interview, if necessary. All decisions regarding WSP applications are made by the Academy Director and the Associate Academy Director. Internship application deadline is April 25, 2019.
Applications turned in late may not be considered for placement in Summer 2019, based on availability.
Application for an internship does not guarantee a placement.
We will let you know about Intern placements by May 1, 2019.Please do not contact us prior to May 1 about your placement.
