Reservation Form: "E KUʻI KĀKOU"
************ PLEASE SUBMIT ONLY (1) FORM PER ʻOHANA/HOUSEHOLD ************

Welina mai! (Welcome!)

Hui Mālama O Ke Kai will be hosting (4) Kuʻi Kalo Drive-Thru events. What is this you ask? Our "E Kuʻi Kākou" Program allows ʻohana (families) the opportunity to come together and practice the Hawaiian tradition of kuʻi kalo (the process of pounding taro into poi) from the comfort & safety of their own homes.

By signing up below, you are requesting to pick up 2-3 lbs of cooked kalo (Taro) and receive educational resources that share ʻike (knowledge) about kuʻi kalo. If you are in need of kuʻi kalo implements, you may also sign up to borrow our papa kuʻi ʻai (boards) and pōhaku kuʻi ʻai (stones) via this reservation form. However, due to our limited supply, there may be a chance that we are unable to fulfill your request.

A follow-up email will be sent to you within 24-48 hours of submitting this reservation form.
The email will notify you of your reservation status.
(i.e if we're able or unable to schedule you in for this round of "E Kuʻi Kākou.")

Here are our Kuʻi Kalo Drive-Thru Dates:
1. Friday, February 19, 2021 (closed)
2. Friday, February 26, 2021(closed)
3. Friday, March 5, 2021(closed)
4. Friday, March 12, 2021

Pickup Time: 12:30 pm

Cost: Free

Location: Hui Mālama O Ke Kai Foundation Site
41-477 Hīhīmanu St, Waimānalo, HI 96795
*Distribution will take place at the Hale Waʻa (Canoe House) on site.

If your ʻohana is granted the use of our implements, a loan agreement form will need to be signed at pickup. As stated in the agreement, all loaned implements will be distributed on Friday and must be returned the following Monday (between 10:00 am - 12:00 pm). This gives you and your ʻohana the weekend to kuʻi kalo.
