All proposals completed and submitted prior to the deadline will be reviewed by the full committee and considered for the 2020 program. Any proposals submitted after the deadline will be considered at the discretion of the committee. The 2020 productions will be confirmed and announced in conjunction with our winter show.
If this is the first time you have directed for EGTG, we will require you to submit a proposal for a one-act play, to be submitted into the Scottish Community Drama Association One-Act Festival, which take place in February 2020 in Edinburgh. Contact one of the EGTG committee members for more information. Proposals for one-act plays are of course open to all potential directors.
We tend to put on productions in three seasons, spring, two Festival Fringe productions, and autumn. New writing is welcomed, together with the proposals for related workshops and readings. It will be difficult for the committee to commission a new work without sight of a completed or well-drafted script and clear production proposals; however, a final decision will be made at the committee’s discretion. We will try to take preferred slots into account when creating our season, but cannot guarantee your preference will be accommodated.
Dates:Proposals: Required by Friday 30 August.Pitches: You will be required to attend a committee meeting on Sunday 8 September to pitch your show.Final consideration of all proposals will take place on Sunday 22 September.
