The Blavin Scholars Program provides U-M undergraduate students who have experienced time in foster care with comprehensive support in navigating their college experience. Having a mentor on campus is a great way for Blavin Scholars to connect with a supportive adult around a common interest, learn more about how to navigate campus and available resources, and build their support network. Many Blavin Scholars and Blavin Mentors have referenced their experience with the Blavin Mentor Program as one of their most meaningful experiences at U-M.

We are looking for staff and faculty with a variety of life experiences and interests to serve as mentors to current and future Blavin Scholars. Please complete the application below as your first step. The Blavin Scholars Mentor Program Coordinator will follow up to discuss your match process and upcoming training opportunities.
